Ear Savers Design and Production
Gary and I have been producing both laser cut and 3D printed ear savers for medical and emergency personnel.
Both of these designs were given to the Saskatchewan Health Authority and 3SHealth and distributed for commercial production for medical personnel across the province.
3D Printed - Sask Saver V1
EcoSafe PLA Plastic
Cleaning:
Peroxide, Bleach, or Soap and Water
Disposal:
Recycle (#7) or Hot Compost
Production
Strongest and fastest to produce with a large bore nozzle.
Hot ending will greatly increase the shell shear strength.
The ones above were printed with a 1mm line width and 0.8mm line thickness.
An animation of my G-Code is shown below.

Our ear saver designs are also used in our three face shield designs.
These designs were developed for the Saskatchewan Health Authority and 3sHealth.
The shields are fully recycleable, lightweight, flat pack for transport, and can fully remove the strain of mask wearing from the ears.
Our shield designs allow for the use of respriators, N95 mask, glasses, or goggles.
Proper Surgical Mask Strain Relief Band Placement
Ensure that the surgical mask ear straps still pass above and below the ear while the “Ear Saver” is worn.
